Ivan Ohienko Street

Ivan Ohienko Street

Ivan Ohienko Street is located in the Solomianskyi district of Kyiv and took shape in the early 20th century as part of the development plan for the Railway Colony — a neighborhood that emerged around the stations and depots of the Kyiv railway hub. The street has borne its current name since 2015, honoring Ivan Ohienko — a prominent Ukrainian scholar, political and church figure, linguist, historian of culture, and the translator of the Bible into Ukrainian. Today, the street combines the historical atmosphere of old Solomianshchyna with the features of a modern residential district.
